AEG Technology Solutions Corporation provides a guided solar computation tool that helps estimate the required system size based on the actual electric bill consumption of the customer.

Below is a quick explanation of the different solar system types so the customer can understand the recommendation better.
Solar + utility grid only. There is no battery. During daytime, solar power is used first. At night, the utility grid is used. During a brownout, the system also turns off for safety. This is usually the most affordable setup.
Solar + battery only. There is no utility grid. This setup is used in remote areas or in places with no Meralco connection. Since battery storage is very important, off-grid systems usually need larger backup capacity and more solar allowance.
Solar + battery + grid. This is one of the most complete setups. It allows solar savings during daytime and battery backup during brownouts. It is ideal for customers who want both savings and continuous operation of essential loads.
Similar to on-grid, but with a small backup battery for selected loads only. It is not typically intended for full-house backup. It is suitable for lights, WiFi, POS, CCTV, routers, and other essential equipment.
